The first italian restaurant opened in Chennai and the first real authentic Italian food to be served to chennaities, open in 1998 by an Italian chef, Mr. Ciro Cattaneo.

Bella Ciao has two branches, one near the beach in Kottivakkam and the second in the heart of the busy Chennai in Nungambakkam high road. Both the places are Al Fresco restaurants , open air. The beach garden is a lovely bungalow transformed in lounge and restaurant, with an airconditinoed area too, the second has been constructed on a roof top on the Chennai skylight.
